Automatic Plant Watering System by using 2N3904 NPN Transistor. Connecting a two transistor to make a NOR logic function. the logical output connected to Darlington Transistor to drive a mini submersible pump.

Description
  1. Nowadays there are many automations comes for Agriculture purpose but the prices are very higher. For minimizing the cost and using NOR logic function to bring a new innovative ideas to Agro automations like Automatic Plant Watering System by using a NOR logic gate Function.
  2. Basic Concept of Project:
    1. The inclusive NOR (Not-OR) gate has an output that is normally at logic level “1” and only goes “LOW” to logic level “0” when ANY of its inputs are at logic level “1”. 
    2. The Logic NOR Gate is the reverse or “Complementary” form of the inclusive OR gate.
    3. The output of the NOR gate is connected to Base of TIP122 Darlington Power Transistor to drive a Mini Submersible Pump.

3. Procedure for Making Project:

  • Connect the 2N3904 NPN Transistor(Q1 & Q2) collector pin to Vcc.
  • Connect the Q1 & Q2 Emitter pin to GND.
  • Connect the TIP122 Base to R3(10K) resistor.
  • Connect the R3(10K) resistor to Vcc.
  • Connect the Q3 emitter to water pump(-)terminal & Connect the water pump (+)terminal to Vcc.
  • Connect the Q3 collector to GND.
  • Connect the Q3 base to metal probe & connect the another metal probe to Vcc.
  • Connect the Q2 base to R2 resistor & connect the R2 resistor to Vcc.
