Description

INTRODUCTION: 

The major problem to people traveling on highways during night times is accidents. So, many made a note that proper street lights on the road help people to have a safe journey. Street lights are also very important for people walking on the roads at night. But there was a proven fact that around 60% of the street lights in India don’t work which sometimes even cause accidents. Moreover, it is very difficult to toll heads for checking the street lights often as there are many factors involved. Another major problem due to vehicles is pollution. Even though the older legacy vehicles are smaller in numbers, their contribution to the pollution load from vehicles can be disproportionately high. So, there is a need to ensure better health while traveling on roads by reducing pollution. 

INNOVATIVE SOLUTION:

So, keeping in mind these problems we have come up with an innovative solution that is designing a robot that can move on its own on the given path.

Step 1:

 Based on the path given it moves and whenever an object (car) is detected it stops and starts moving again. 

Step 2:

As we place LDR sensors in our robot, it checks whether every street light is working or not and sends the location details to the local heads by using the GSM module. 

Step 3:

With the help of the GPS module, the location of the robot will be tracked and this location along with the street light number will be sent to the respective toll heads.

Step 4:

Here we can even use IoT technology for sending information. Moreover, the smoke sensor constantly captures the smoke and sends the information of the smoke percentage for every 5km. So, by this, we can understand in which area the pollution rate is more and can plan to reduce it by keeping pollution checkers.  Arckis helps us to solve problems and make our lives much easier.

Some companies like Tehran Electrical Distribution, Teharan are researching to solve this problem, but they were still in the research phase. Moreover, their idea of solving this problem is not much precise.

CONCLUSION

We hope our project is cool and clear. The most innovative part is our robot is it is precise enough in the detection of street lights whether they are working or not. It can verify every street light autonomously and we can get accurate data. And it is unmanned. By this manual checking of street lights can be avoided.     

Moreover, this robot can detect smoke released by vehicles while it's going on the path given. Then it gives us the data of how much percentage of smoke is releasing by vehicles. With this data, the government can get some idea about how much pollution is releasing in certain areas and they can take necessary precautions.
