Exoshock- A chair which prevents drowsiness

Exoshock is a chair, which prevents drowsiness while night driving, late night working and doing night study. Which helps in saving lives, increase efficiency and help students to study without problem of drowsiness.

Description

Introduction 

Sleep is a state of relaxation. And also it is very essential for our health but sometimes it may even become dangerous for ourselves. Like while working in MNC(Multinational company) at night often we may not be able to concentrate on our work and also in night jobs manier times a lot of people feel drowsy and it may lead to loss of work and even in some cases jobs are threatened too. Usually, many children do night study and they are not able to do so. They try many tricks like tie up their hairs to a rope which can harm their brains and their body and some of them even try to clip their eyes. While night-driving manier times there are deadly or very injurious accidents too. According to enforcement officers patrolling the highways and major roads, sleep-deprived drivers remain responsible for about 40% of road accidents. Each year, nearly 100,000 traffic crashes can be attributed to drowsy driving, including more than 1,500 deaths and over 70,000 injuries, according to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. It’s a very big concern and so we have come up with a solution whose name is EXOSHOCK. Exoshock is a device that can be integrated by default in chairs manufactured and also it can be customized and set up in an ordinary chair too. Like in the driver seat of the vehicle and office chairs.

Right now we are working on AI integration and also we are working to integrate IOT also in which we can control it from an application from our handy phones.

Functioning

The mechanism will be working in a pre-programmed algorithm. When ever the person will sit on the chair the piezoelectric plate, which will be fixed under the seat will be triggered and the signal will be sent to the microcontroller as input and microcontroller will activate the ultrasonic sensor placed headrest/upper backrest part of the chair, and ultrasonic sensor will start sensing and it will automatically vibrate/buzz in the interval of every 10 minutes which further can be changed by the user too.

Also if the sensor didn’t feel any motion for 10 minutes or the time decided by the user then it buzz loudly. As the user get up from the chair and the pressure plates will stop sending signal to microcontroller and it will turn off.

How to make it?

Step 1) Take a chair. 

Step 2) Place the circuit components mentioned in the requirements list according to the image attached. 

Step 3) Upload the code which is provided by me and upload it in your microcontroller.
